I'll still watch them play tv, but I'll never spend another penny on merchandise I used to buy, TAF fees, or tickets.
I'm not telling you what you should do, but just be aware that you ARE supporting them financially if you watch on TV. The vast majority of revenue into the SEC comes from their TV contracts which are based on viewership.

I won't partake in entertainment that starts with kneeling

Point blank, if they interject politics into the realm of college athletics I will walk away from a monetary and interest standpoint.
If? They already have. The Left's takeover of everything on TV is complete.

If what they are doing is legal and off of the field...yes. Protest, marches, petitions etc. are fine by me. If this wokeness hits the field, then absolutely not.

Yes I am perfectly aware that TV deals between the SEC, and networks are in place, and they make gobs of money off of them. However I'm paying for my tv service already, and that's not going to change anytime soon. The money I paid in other areas however will be gone. Im perfectly happy sitting on my couch, eating my own food, drinking my own alcohol, and pausing it when I want.
You can use the TV tie in with just about everything. Raising Canes, Mcdonalds, COX Communication, banks, Coke products, and so on.

Vast majority of us will not and the mega donors most definitely will not.
I am good friends with one whose name is on one of the gates at the west entrance....most all those big donors are all buddies, that shite will not fly IF it is sponsored by the athletic department. I specifically asked him what he and others (big donors) thought of this BLM movement at LSU....i am paraphrasing here but his response was...if the players want to be activist during their own personal time that is 100% fine and their constitutional right and they support those individual freedoms 1000%... but if the athletic department begins to support the BLM movement, there will be consequences as a result from these donors essentially having there money donated to LSU used to promote a Marxist group that wants to rip down the traditional American family and values”
Anyone know the last time the football department posted something directly supporting black lives matter....at least on Instagram it was June 5th....nothing else since. They just recently posted players using there constitutional rights to protest on their own time with the march they did....but nothing in that video references BLM....NOT ONE TIME. My donor friend made sure to point that out. They aren’t fricking around with BLM bullshite....they are supportive of the struggles these players have lived through and how to better that environment.

LSU Athletics is run by spineless cowards. Count me out. My dollars are gone.

Started laughing when the announcement was made that Bama Players would be marching through Tuscaloosa Monday.
They have Monday off and little Nickie said "You can do what in the hell you want on your day off, I don't care."
By the way. Just returned from Tuscaloosa ....those bars look mighty lonely downtown ....

I've said since the beginning of the year that as soon as my team takes a knee for the National Anthem, I'm walking out and hope the rest of the fans follow me.

Won't be watching, listening, or reading about the successes or failures of LSU athletics for the foreseeable future. Also won't be buying anything with the LSU logo.

I’m not renewing my tickets. I’m out

It’s going to depend on what happens at games. Thankfully the players aren’t on the field during the national anthem. If the players try to do something during the game or we are subjected to woke ads and announcements over the PA or video board or Tiger Band does a “tribute” show, I am done.

I don’t let someone’s political opinions color my entire perception of them, only demented people do that.

I told my friends in June that I was done with sports. They did not believe that I would stop watching LSU football, but I am over it. It’s not a huge loss. I just bought a new deer rifle and I’m excited for the fall.
frick all of it.
frick all of it.

We won the last national championship game. 50 years from now no one will care.

So lighting up Tiger Stadium to honor George Floyd and then putting Black Life Matters on all of the scoreboards and web pages isn't supporting them?
