Here are the details the witness gave about the first shooting

From the charging complaint. The witness is Richard McGinnis, who works for the Daily Caller. This adds info about how the first shooting started. Bald guy didn't attack Rittenhouse but maybe said something that made Rittenhouse start running away:

There it is. Midget Man was going for the gun. Brief contact ensued until based Rittenhouse muscled it away. Then midget man makes a second lunge to engage and based Rittenhouse ends him.

So the black guy was just "jumping over" the defendant. That is bullshite. He was going for the patented black guy that cant fight kick to the back of the head

SELF DEFENSE.
I very much hope he walks, but this is a Daily Caller guy basically saying it was a kid who was in over his head. Whether or not we are "glad" the dead were killed, I still feel awful for this child to be only 17 and have the weight of 2 killings on his conscience. The reason I know he has a conscience is because he immediately called someone to tell them what happened (before he was run off.) And then he tried to turn himself into the police.
I believe he did not go out there that night hoping to kill someone. But he now has to live with it on his mind - good shoot or not.
