Correction: Gov. Edwards misspoke in his press conference. The state reports 622 more positive cases of coronavirus, not 662 as initially reported.

I love seeing the big drop in testing but it's probably just because it's Monday. Monday August 10 had a randomly low number too and it jumped back after that.

I expect the hospital number to keep crashing much to the chagrin of John Bel Dumbass. This will be over by the end of September.

Looks like someone in BR was too busy prepping for the hurricanes and forgot to artificially inflate the testing numbers.

Why is it so difficult to report hospital and vent data?

It’s over now, but the goal posts will continue to be moved until the politicians get their desired money / result.

I could understand at first. I have no viable explanation for today, 5 months in.

Did they say why the number was so low? Are the Southeastern parishes not reporting today?

Probably delays from some hospitals not making their employees come in during what was suspected hurricane 24hrs ago.

Edwards just spoke and now the negative stat he chooses to focus on is number of cases per 100,000 people. No John, let’s refocus on risks to hospitals. They aren’t close to being overwhelmed. Don’t move the goalposts.

He also chooses not to say that Louisiana has one of the lowest Ro’s in the country right now

But the entire reason for the shut down was to not overwhelm hospitals I thought? Two weeks to flatten the curve right?

I’m convinced he’s gonna try and use the hurricanes as an excuse to extend Phase 2.
