Why do you want him? What's so good about him?

Having an objectively terrible coach is a comfortable feeling for me.

Meanwhile the Pels front office is sitting around with their thumb up their arse.

Everyone likes Gentry as a person (not as a coach). Not so much of Jim Boylen. I think that’s why we haven’t fired him yet. It would be savage just to fire him on the plane.

tbf I don’t think they’ve even returned from Orlando yet. They aren’t going to fire him before we step foot back in Nola

Yeah say what you want about his performance, but Alvin is well liked by all and has often had to be the one to face the media in difficult situations that weren't on him given that Dell never really took on that responsibility. They left him dangling big-time during the AD shite storm for instance.

He should be fired but it shouldn't be at the airport Lane Kiffin / USC style.

Rumors have said nothing will happen until today at earliest, I’d look for news on Gentry to come out over the weekend / Monday. Seems like he knows he’s gone though.

Hope gentry can still be with the organization somehow. Because I like the guy. But that’s unlikely. Some organization is going to get a greaT assistant coach though.

The Bulls organization is not exactly the organization I would be looking to as a model for judging how competent/incompetent we are behaving by not following their lead.

I’m all aboard the fire Gentry train and will be pretty upset if a change isn’t made, but I’m not pulling out the pitchforks because we didn’t follow the Bulls.

WTF? They just finished their last game late last night and are probably traveling home today.

releasing big news on a friday afternoon is what most people do. Allows for the weekend stuff to happen and for the monday news people to forget about what you did on friday. Monday is the worst day to release news that you know will lead to lots of questions and speculations.

I think it would be pretty surprising despite what people were saying to let him go so quickly after the bubble. I'm sure they will take their time to do the year end review, exit interviews, all of that stuff. If something is coming, it'll be next week.

i agree.
There's no ill will towards him, so i doubt they just tell him to go frick himself the second they get back.

The Bulls' season has been finished since the 22 team bubble was announced.
