Where and how? Autotrader? Facebook?

Looking to get the most out of it for a deposit on something new. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Blast from the past right there. I read that thing as a kid cover to cover just to see what I couldn’t have while I drove my pos back and forth to my three jobs.

How much more do you think you’ll get in cash vs a trade in? When you trade in, you save taxes on the value of your trade (i.e. if you get $10,000 for your trade and sales taxes are 10%, you save $1,000 vs selling car for cash).

The easiest? Carmax, hands down. And with the current market, you'll get a damn good offer.

The most money? Private sale. But you'll need to be patient because that may take forever.

Sold a car last week on Facebook marketplace. You will get some people trying to low ball you but all you do is say "no thanks." The bull shite you deal with from the dealers low balling you on the trade is just as bad.

Generally a lot more if you have a car that's worth anything. If it's a piece of crap it's probably better to trade it in.

I figured it may have computer wise, never really bothered to look it up... Just hadn't seen a paper copy in years...

But yeah, it was the shite back in the day. It went from a little 10 page book to over 75 pages of cars at one point...

trading > selling like others have mentioned because of not only the tax savings but also not having to deal with folks haggling and wasting time.

Interesting, hadn't thought about that place. If you have any experience with them, is their offer typically about what a dealer would offer for trade in?

I sold one within 24 hours on Facebook Marketplace earlier this year, and got full asking price.
