'Fox eye' makeup trend called out for 'cultural appropriation,' 'racism'
Now that they've used up all the black related faux narratives, Asians are the newest victims.
What is "fox eye" (yeah I didn't know either)?
quote:
The “fox eye” beauty trend, which uses makeup to create an elongated shape of the eye, has been growing in popularity and controversy in recent weeks
quote:
“Ok let’s talk…remember when [people] mocked us Asians for having slanted eyes? And suddenly it became a ‘trend’ [because] it’s cute on them and they called it the ‘fox eye trend’?” one person on Twitter wrote. “So it’s cute on you but nor for us? Racism towards Asian is so normalised (sic) and I’m tired and sick of it.”
quote:
“Today, the ‘fox-eye trend’ completely invalidates the decades of normalized racism against the Asian community. For many of us, our childhood is riddled with memories of people pulling their eyes in an effort to ridicule our features,” the post reads.
When did Asians become so sensitive?

I doubt the people who are wearing "fox eye" picked on Asians for "slant eyes".
But, let's unironically lump all whites into one group and treat them all the same to "fight racism".
Edit: Also I know I've seen polls about racial beauty and pretty sure Asians (women at least, and since this is about eye makeup that seems to be the center of this issue) were usually top 2.

They need to take this up with those racist, bastard Ancient Egyptians (Africans).

I'm going to continue my trend of ignoring people who scream about racism.

Affirmative action is keeping some of them out of American universities but let's bitch about makeup other women are wearing...

Ask her what hair products she uses. Her answer will tell you her true ethnical origins. She ain't really "black".

Well these people need to stop speaking English, they are appropriating white culture.

Well there was this one Asian guy who complained about a white high school girl at her prom wearing a traditional silk dress. All this is just some miserable clown who seeks to increase their self importance by imposing a view. We all should tell those people to "have a coke and a smile and STFU."
The country will be better off for it.
