Big difference is when those got cancelled there were a lot more unknowns. While there are still unknowns, we have a better understanding of the virus.

True enough, but it’s still far from under any real control and there are still a lot of unknowns about it. I think the best approach is a “wait and see” to the impacts of just having these young adults back on campuses first. Delay the season by a month or two. See where we stand in the middle or end of September. If things are going well then, go from there. No reason we couldn’t start the season in November. Hell, even if that means going to inner division games only, then a conference championship game and then a 8 to 10 team playoff and do away with all the minor bowl games, that would be better than no season at all. The thing is. This season is already going to have an asterisk by it anyway regardless of what happens. We’ve already seen players saying they are going to sit, players that have transferred due to the virus, and other issues that have already come up. Team stats are going to be down due to no “cupcake games”. Players ARE going to catch this virus during season. I mean, what happens if we start this season, LSU is undefeated going into the SEC championship game, Brennan is looking like Burrow 2.0 and he gets Covid and we have to start a freshman at QB and lose? What if that happens to Clemson? Or Bama? Or any team.
