quote:

People are at just as much, if not more risk, if we don’t play. Players will all be sent home to their own communities where social distancing is highly unlikely and medical care and expenses will be placed on the families if they were to contract covid19 (1)

quote:

Not to mention the players coming from situations that are not good for them/ their future and having to go back to that. Football is a safe haven for so many people. We are more likely to get the virus in everyday life than playing football. Having a season also incentivizes -

quote:

Players being safe and taking all of the right precautions to try to avoid contracting covid because the season/ teammates safety is on the line. Without the season, as we’ve seen already, people will not social distance or wear masks and take the proper precautions

Here is the elephant in the room

These ADs are higher education admins. They know that canceling the fb season would not only collapse town economies, but will give their party (dems) a talking point to use against the man they despise. Both would be politically useful.

It’s absolutely a factor, and it makes me want to throw up

Thank you. I’ve been saying this all along. These players are probably safer within the programs. They have access to testing and the type of medical monitoring and support that they would never have if they were on their own. If they get the sniffles, they’ll likely have a whole team of medical personnel at the door in no time.

It’s a good stance by Trevor, but not really applaudable. The whole premise of his statement is that the virus is a serious threat in everyday life

If that's how he feels, then by all means, he should play.

Sunshine from the Top Rope with the inconvenient truth. "Trevor Lawrence called me the n word" bombshell story in 3-2-1...

The players will be much more regimented and isolated through strict protocols and testing than they would be if you tell them "Sorry its not safe. Go home and do whatever you want with your newfound free time."

ERA: 6 hours later I just realized I typed "incontinent truth".

To be fair, this szn probably wouldn’t have gone well (see MLB). 3 times the number of players and we’re talking about 18-21 year olds.

He’s right, however the issue is liability. That will be the downfall of college football this year. Spring really isn’t an option. Hundreds will opt out, and it’s wrong health wise anyway
