Say what you say about the EO but it make the democrats looks incompetent and obstructionist.
That’s a winning strategy IMO

Agree. I frankly don’t GAF what he has to do to win in November. Nothing he would promise is worse than the Left would attempt if Trump doesn’t win.

That's not how it works.

Also, this may be his best leverage play ever. He was masterful today.

Does this extend the unemployment payments of $800 per week?
If so then this could be a problem in the very near future for small business sustainability.
I have talked with several small business owners that can only afford to pay employees a rate of $13 to $15 per hour. The $800 a week check is equal to $20 per hour. These owners cannot get their people to come to work because the unemployment pays better.

Saying he will extend or not ask for the pay roll tax back if he wins is a genius move. Just talked to a friend who hates Trump and even he admit it was a good move

It’s $400 a week. It was never $800 to begin with. Previously bums were getting $600 a week

Many were getting more than that, I’m not sure how though.

the 600 and now 400 people were getting was a federal add on to what the state pays. Like MS was 235, plus the fed 600=835

$600 on top of normal state benefits. LA is $247. So here they were getting $847

Only if you add the state benefits to it. My wife was taking $870 a week net, before she went back to work.

With extended but reduced benefits Some will seek work hopefully as it should be . With JB and soon other guvs to receive state money will require you to actively seek employment . If your prior job request you return or you are offered a job and refuse the stare part and soon to follow Fed money will disappear . Trump did good here

All unemployment is taxed at 10%. The max in Louisiana post tax was $762 and now it’s $582 a week.

I wouldn’t count on it. Most people in Louisiana are gonna be getting $647 a week on unemployment now. Minimum wage is $290 a week.

actively seek employment
Over 300,000 people are receiving unemployment in Louisiana. People file on Sunday and get paid Tuesday by 2 am. Do you really think the unemployment office is going to be able to make that many calls (900,000 calls) on Monday to make sure people applied for jobs? Don’t think so.
