This typically would be the correct answer, however, there are other things to consider. It appears the 2021 renewal will start in November. So, depending on the start date, that is only 3 or 4 months of interest. The non refundable deposit may be more than the interest. LSU is getting its money one way or the other. So, Option 2 may be the best.
