Not near the border but it's crap.
CNN is so full of shite it's embarrassing.
First it's a border area so every Mexican who gets a fever crosses the border illegally to get healthcare here.
And we pay for it.
Second, Texas has plenty of play in the system. They are full of crap.
We aren't shut down from so called elective procedures yet. Maybe people in other areas of Texas can comment. I thought Houston had plateaued.
We are Texas. Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose. Texas forever!

It would be nice to know how many of these confirmed cases had covid19.

“They are making decisions with families that if the patient does not have a chance of survival they are given the option to pass with their loved ones in the comfort of their homes instead of in a hospital where they can not have visitors however, it is only if agreed to by family and the patient”
That is the complete response I got from the reporter. She knows her stuff and since she’s been to that hospital I think I’ll trust her versus some idiot on an internet board...
As to COVID, I did not reference that as a specific Issue, simply that terminal patients are being allowed to be sent home to die with their family.

Wel, that’ sure is nice of them. Most of the time it is the insurance company making the decision.
This particular reporter may be the salt of the earth, but the story is shite.

And the Star County Hospital is less than a mile from the bridge crossing and US Border Patrol Center where asylum seekers would turn themselves in.

Feel free to blindly follow XiNN and their fear porn.
Again, I don’t value a poli board idiots opinion compared to someone who’s actually visited the site and deals with their people.

You don't want to die in the hospital right now. If you do, it will be completely alone. Once you get to that hospital, you'll never see family or loved ones ever again.

there is not a single hospital in america that is overwhelmed right now.
They aren't over capacity.
There are plenty of ERs that are overwhelmed due to the stupidity that has resulted from frequent flyers, people using them as testing centers, and the lack of tort reform in this country.

Pensacola news journal had a headline that said Escambua County Down to 3 ICU Beds. Insinuating they were full of covid patients. FUll of crap media. My hospitals ICUs ar all nearly always full to capacity.. way before covid was a thing.

quote:IIRC, the hospital sits at the US-Mexico border. Is that particular stretch of border effectively managed? If not, those "sent back home" might carry a different connotation.
Been months since anyone would believe this

Must have some pretty amazing doctors and surgeons if people are coming from thousands of miles away.
