Bech tends to impress every time we get an in-person look at one of Louisiana's best receivers. He currently checks in at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds and clocked a 40 time in the 4.6 range this offseason. He has excellent hands, runs crisp routes and his ball skills are off the charts. He also has the ability to get vertical, which makes him a dangerous weapon in the red zone. The Vanderbilt commitment is inching closer toward a fourth star and a hybrid tight end role has recently been mentioned.

He’s gonna be an outstanding player and be a pro for a long time. Hate that we don’t prioritize him.

Walker Howard and Shone Washington also discussed on the link

Who knows what kind of player he will become, but LSU hasn't exactly been struggling in their ability to find and sign top-flight WR's. If the staff didn't prioritize him I suspect it is because they have several other WR's ranked higher. Particularly in light of the fact LSU may end up signing one of, if not the best WR class in the country when one considers they currently have three of the top 15 WR's currently committed (with the possibility of a 4th joining that list)

I like how there are literally 2 LSU commits and a said to be silent commit in Washington in this article, but you chose to only post about a Vanderbilt commit on an LSU board.

I mentioned them in the next post

There's not many that feel he isn't a good prospect but as the discussion of him usually goes, which wr we have committed or trending would any school take him over? His offer list seems to be representative of how schools view him currently. Or maybe Vandy with their academic prestige and being in the SEC is where he wants to be no matter whether we like him or not. He jumped on their offer pretty quickly

Do we want to really dig into this and what this is code for?
Wrong move. Force into where he is a natural fit and that is as a slot WR.

I disagree, I think he is naturally a SS. He reminds me of Tanner Muse from Clemson from a physical standpoint.

I dont disagree that he could play defense. I just think offensively he's a slot. He wins between the hashes. Great, short intermediate route runner. Strong after catch. Like that blip said, would be great in the redzone.
His ball skills are excellent too. The problem is when he is outside, he has trouble separating. You see a ton of contested catches and DBs running stride for stride. Ball skills like that will always play, but in college that lack of separation will be exposed even more outside. A lot of those balls turn into INT's against SEC corners.
It's why they are talking TE hybrid now, i reckon. Hope he stays true to his talents and does not go that route

I don’t understand the boards constant obsession and talk about Jack Bech. Kid is a good football player who is gonna land in a perfect spot for him at Vanderbilt. It just so happens LSU is going to land 4 top 100 overall players in the nation at WR alone. It’s not a knock on Jack Bech, it’s just the level of program LSU is. Not sure why you’re linking a Vanderbilt commit, especially with LSU guys being mentioned in the article, it’s not like this is some guy nobody knows about, he’s been discussed plenty.

He’s a 1600yd WR from one of the states power house schools. LSU is still contact with him. Of course this belongs here & is a popular subject.

LSU is looking like they’ll land one of the best WR classes we’ve ever had if they end up getting Brian Thomas along with keeping the 3 they already have committed. Bech won’t be the only in state WR looking for a spot elsewhere.

If I’m reading his 247 profile right he has 3 Power 5 offers from Vanderbilt, Boston College, and Arizona. Sorry if I’m not as gung ho about him as you are. Not sure how much “contact” the LSU staff has really had with him either. Interesting to talk about? Sure, but it’s been overplayed and as of right now he will not be playing for LSU, and probably won’t play for LSU. I trust the LSU’s staff evaluation over yours and I’s, and yeah maybe it just shouldn’t be really that hard to believe that guys like Brian Thomas, Chris Hilton, JoJo Earle, and Deion Smith are projected to be and will be better football players so that’s why they are targeted over a guy like Bech? Remember LSU is a national brand LSU having to jump at every instate kid shouldn’t be a thing.

I’m curious as to why rivals has no ranking on Walker Howard… It just doesn’t make sense, especially considering the 247 composite has him as a borderline five star

I dont know if Rivals has done their 2022 class yet, or atleast updated it. But what I did see was Bryce Anderson was listed as a corner. Is it possible we want him at corner and are going after Kamari Wilson for the other safety spot?

They've done their 22 rankings twice since the 1st of the year. Rivals national group is just horrible and I'd venture to say that Spiegelmans voice isn't "respected" enough in the room to be heard.
