He also makes it a point to mention that he has family in the Austin area and his entire family is life long Horn fans.

That job will be wide open and he will be starting for Texas as soon as he steps on campus.

I think he ends up at Texas.

I mean we have the highest ranked 4 “star” qb, and some of you still want this “can’t miss” person who the “recruiting services” rank as a 5 “star.” The point is these recruiting services rerank players and they haven’t had camps! How can they (the recruiting services) be legit if they do this?!

Ohio State leads right now, but it's early in the recruitment

Have you even seen Ewers film?

I'm sorry that you are oblivious to generational talent. He is literally graded out as tied for the best recruit of all time based on his rating.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with his 72% passing completion, 4,003 passing yards, 54 touchdowns and 3 interceptions as a sophomore at one of the biggest high school programs in the country.

Just give up dude.

We’ll see how well he does once he is in college. Performance is all that matters, so maybe he’ll keep it up or maybe he won’t. Time will tell. You keep riding his dick tho bro

Hey I get the kid is hyped tremendously and looks great but I get the point Da RagingTiger is trying to make. For every Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence and Peyton Manning theres a Ron Powlus, Drew Henson, Matt Barkley, Gunner Kiel, Shea Patterson or Tate Martell. No one, no matter the natural physical gifts, is promised or guaranteed success.
I'm a Lawrence guy as far as projecting but if I'm being completely honest, he hasn't shown me he's the best qb in a generation yet. 2 guys just got drafted that are more generational so far, Tua and Burrow.

That isn't the point. Just because you have one great player doesn't mean you shouldn't try to add another to the mix. The more elite prospects you have, the better off you are. Due to recent on field success, LSU is actually in position to land multiple high level quarterbacks who aren't afraid of competition. They would be stupid to not try to take advantage.

No prospect is "Can't Miss", but they aren't created equal. Both Howard and Ewers are elite QB prospects.

Exactly. Look at the way OU is racking up on elite QBs. You think just because they have the #1 QB recruit from a class that they aren’t still pursuing others?

This guy gets it. You get as many elite recruits as possible and let competition sort out who’s the best

A lot of the players (besides Brennan) transfer if they can’t start within a year or two. Once again, let our coaches and trainers do their job. If they are good enough for CEO, then they are more than good enough for me. You know why? I, nor majority of this board, have coached at that level and have the knowledge needed to make informed decisions of recruits. My main point stands though, the recruiting services tell you who is better than the other and that is not always the case.

Jack Marucci has a system and so does CEO. They get paid millions to choose kids from all over the country, while rivals and 24/7 steal millions from joe blows.
