Obviously the reason for this is to cut down on people lying about their scores. It’s just interesting to me because golf is a sport that prides itself on honesty and moral character but they don’t trust people to record honest scores

FWIW I have an official USGA GHIN and I post my scores on the app alone all the time and it doesn’t ask for a marker or if I was alone
