Leonard Fournette v Auburn in 2015 or Clyde vs Alabama in 2019.
Leonard 19 attempts for 228 and 3 TDs
Clyde 20 attempts for 103 and 3 TDs and 9 catches 77 yards and 1 TD.

Clyde vs Bama will be hard to beat. If LF7 had the same offense no telling what he would have done

Man I was actually thinking this last night. Crawled into the YouTube rabbit hole and watched both in several games. I was actually considering starting a thread asking besides LF7 and Charlie Alexander ( who I watched many games) who would I say would be LSUs best (top 5) RB.
Clyde every damn time. He proved out last season, just needed a chance.
Done.

I think Guice would have been the best of the 3 in this offense.

Yes, would have loved for Guice to have a chance with this offense. Man, I hope he gets totally healthy and has a breakout year before it’s too late.

It’s hard to compare what our skill players did this past year to prior year players because it was so different. I’m imagining LF7 not having to face loaded boxes every carry or Guice catching passes out the backfield. Would have been nasty

As much as I loved watching Fournette destroy Auburn’s D after their safety talked shite about him, it’s Edwards-Helaire because of who it was against.

Clyde had a LOT more help it’s almost unfair to grade the two the same

I’m not asking who did better in which offense. I’m asking who had the better performance between these two specific players in these two specific games.

Fournette abs Auburn might be the most impressive performance I’ve ever seen. They were scared as shite of trying to get in front of him that day

Fournette had Auburn legitimately terrified to tackle him.

As great as Clyde's performance was, Fournette's was other-wordly.

As much as I love Clyde and his performance against Bama, Fournette was almost un-tackle-able against Auburn.
That game put him in the category of Herschel, Bo, Marcus Dupree, Tony Dorsett, etc.
He also did not play very much in the second half. He could have rushed for 400 yards that day.

Clyde made season saving plays in that game.
Leonard made “arrive to the party” type plays in his game with it being early in the season

Fournette.

I saw him coming and I was, like, it was kind of like a business decision

CEH does not possess the raw speed and power of LF7, but what stands out on those highlights is how much quicker Clyde is for the first 3 or 4 steps.
