The Chinese do NOT have the power projection capability to invade Taiwan as the U.S. would sink every boat that headed that way before they could get started, much less the United States. To think they could make it across the Pacific to the U.S. is laughable (no disrespect to you intended).
The only ace in the hole for them would be is if we had a sniveling weak democrat as President and controlling the house and the senate, in which case they would probably be invited in with open arms.
