Outcry question

Anyone from the Austin area on here? I have already banned my daughter from going anywhere near Cedarpark. Cops obviously don’t give a shite about anyone but the city council kids, which I can only assume are all little demons. (Lol)
Without the white knight guy, and a DA that really seems to be decent guy, and was elected with help of GK supporters, Greg Kelley would have died in prison.
My question is what the hell was the deal with the Texas Ranger? Why did he drop the bogus affidavit? Texas Rangers usually don’t play around. I just don’t understand the motivation here. There has to be some rumors or something out there.

It’s a documentary about a star football player from small town outside Austin that was falsely accused and convicted of molesting a 4 year old boy.

That original investigation was criminal and then the way it was handled by the DAs office to double down on it
Probably imagine the Texas ranger was finding such bad info about the cops he desperately tried to throw something bad on GK in there
that kid has amazing composure for someone that has been through so much and such a young age

It’s really good series you guys should watch it. He may be in Baton Rouge for game this year if he makes the team for Texas. (If there is a game.)

I don't think many people have seen it, there was little discussion on the MTV thread.
The investigation was shoddy, not sure about the Ranger's agenda but he seemed to have one.
Given the only evidence they had was the 2 outcries I don't see how they got a conviction in the first place. It was hard to hear that holdout juror folded because everyone was tired.
BTW Kelly would have gotten out when he was 44 as he got 25 years day for day.

I lost a trial one time when the bailiff told me it was 8-4 my way on initial vote for a decent amount verdict. the defense lawyer conceded I won, his comments going into the Courtroom was “Let’s see how much they are going to give you.” They fought over an amount for 4 hours, but at 4:30 they went 9-3 for a defense verdict because they couldn’t agree on an amount and wanted to go home and the no money people stayed firm. I lost another one when jury decided in 5 minutes they were liable but just weren’t sure on damage causation. ( I focused it and knew this was the issue) The simple truth is If jurors don’t become “invested” in the case they typically don’t really care one way or another.
In Texas you are clearly guilty unless proven innocent, the default for most criminal jurors is clearly guilty. Hence the dozen or so innocent people they have executed there. I think more the rest of states combined.
