I never thought I would be all Dr Fauci on anything, but most of us in the US are D deficient bc of the whole “sun will kill you” thing. I wonder if it is coincidence or if it really is something. It really could be a thing bc my Dr had me down as D deficient and I take 1000ui every morning. I do have to say I have gotten almost no colds / sinus infections in the past four years he has had me on that regiment.

500mg?
My bottle says 50mcg / 2000IU. I take one and get a decent amount of sun. Am I doing anything, or do I need to take more

Pharmacist told me anything between 1000 and 2000 a day is usually good unless you are very deficient. Dr told me to take it, but never specified how much so I asked the pharmacist when I saw it goes all the way to like 5000.
Levels have been ok so far.

Makes sense.
I have been on D3 and C for months and haven’t really gotten sickness of any kind outside of inflammation due to other issues.

This whole thing just shows how important general healthy habits are.
Move around.
Exercise at least a little.
Eat a reasonable diet.
Makes a big difference!

I’m taking 25 mcg a day
It says 125% DV
Taking it for bone support, maybe it’s why I haven’t got the Covid

I take Calcium and 1000 D every day along with a high potency multi vitamin. Been doing it for years and very rarely get sick.

I take St John's-wort as a preventative. Apparently, St John's-wort is known to kill other types of coronaviruses.

Been taking 50,000 units of vitamin d3 weekly after my doctor discovered I was deficient this winter. Even if I dont get more prescriptions, I'll switch to taking daily supplements for vitamin d.
Also started taking zinc and vitamin c on my own once this started getting big. Was happy I did once I saw some conjecture about a potential immune boosting/regulatory effect.

The only person I have heard mention strengthening the immune system is Rogan. Many doctors have talked about Vitamin D and Zinc.
And I'm guessing the reasoning behind not mentioning healthy immune systems as a way to fight it is because it's not guaranteed to stop the virus, but what could it hurt? It blows my mind that risk factors for this thing include obesity and diabetes, yet nobody is saying to the population that we need to lose weight and eat properly.
It's mind boggling.

if you get Covid then like 2000 mg of C every 8 hours.
Jesus.
Stay away from dairy during that time.

They’ve been saying this since March/April in the hospitals. You’d think the news would pass it along.

Have a student employee that was exposed to COVID last week. Found out on Wednesday. I immediately started taking 500mg of C, 50mg of zinc, and 5,000iu of D3 (every other day) and so far, I’m good. I assume he doesn’t have it or wasn’t contagious at that time, but still. If I know I’ve been exposed, that’s my regimen.

Must be why the infection rates around College Station are so low, they all get plenty of D there.

My buddy is a Dr at Emory in Atlanta. Says Low D3 makes CV a wrecking ball. Get outside. No more than 3000mg of C per day. 1000mg a day is fine.

I give the wife the D every night and I take a bite of her C too, so we should be good.
