I spend a couple weeks a year in that part of the country, I can promise you they really don't want to start trouble there.

I've had the honor of going a few times. It is a steep, winding road that would be pretty easy to block if you wanted to do it.
This will be pretty interesting to see how this plays out with the Marxist trying this is a very Red state with the President on his way.

I grew up in Rapid City, and can attest to what you say. There's a reason Antifa/BLM avoid places like SD, ND, WY - besides the fact they probably can't find them on a map.
