KATC

Unlike the people calling for the statues removal, General Alfred Mouton was a great man. A large portion of the city of Lafayette sits on his former estate.

Confederate Generals were American Generals. Their valor was just as great as the opposing side.

How was the mayor of Lafayette under any serious political pressure from the majority to remove this statue? This clearly screams .01% getting their way.

He could probably ADD more confederate statues and still get re-elected.

What a pussy.

I can name at least 10 Moutons that I call personal friends. I guess they are related to each other, but if so, the relationship is distant. Some of these people don’t even know each other.

Do they have to change their name only if they can trace their lineage directly to General Mouton? Or what?

I hate leftists

He needs to be asked whether he is going to remove Gen Mouton from the street named for him. These tyrants must be harshly dealt with if we are to maintain civility.

The Mansfield Battlefield is a La. State Park and would be a perfect place for this statue, since he was a commander at that battle, and was KIA leading his Soldiers on horseback at the front of the charge on the enemy ranks.

Sword held high and pointed toward the enemy, Gen. Mouton charged into a hail of enemy fire and certain death.
