quote:Yeah, like VABuckeye said, you have to feed the TV audio back to the receiver. Look for an HDMI port on the back of the TV labeled "ARC". Or the TV likely has other types of audio output that the receiver can handle, as well.
The one (app) through the cable box (Netflix) works just fine with the receiver.
THe one (app) through the Samsung TV won't work through the receiver.
When you run an app on the cable box, the signal goes cable box -> receiver -> TV. The receiver gets the audio and video, sends the audio to your speakers, and video to the TV. All is good. When you run an app on the TV, as of now the TV doesn't "know" that it's hooked to the receiver, and it has no way to send audio to it. The receiver can't "intercept" the audio and handle it, so you need to pipe the TV audio output back to the receiver input. Or, you could just forget about the TV apps and use a roku/firetv/whatever media stick hooked up to another input on the receiver.
