They just make up lies and use "anonymous" sources for fake stories.

This has to stop but how do we hold them accountable?

Do Republicans start to fight back and just make up shite too?

I'm sick of the fake news and I used to hate it when Trump constantly used that phrase. Now I completely understand and agree 100%. I will never support anything democrat related again.

Use the libel statutes and make them reveal their sources in a court of law or face the consequences. The term "sources say" should be removed from the media's repertoire.

Trump woke a lot of people up. They are fake news and more and more people know it.

You have to convince people to pay attention.

Fox News is the most egregious offender of fake news, and OANN is just a propaganda network for the president, so to answer your question, we’re already there.

Create a law or shame and harass them publicly for their lies

Fox news is damn near as egregious as CNN, nowadays.

Of course. And Trump playing the boy that cried wolf doesn't help matters either.

In a more objective society we could expose poor journalists and fake news.

There's no such thing as objective anymore, haven't you heard?

What are a few examples of Fox fake news on the scale of Russia collusion or even Covington Catholic.

Agreed. Or you have to dig pretty deep to find it. And what average full time worker has the time to really sift through all of it?

No one. We've been in an arena of psychological warfare for some time now. I don't see it ending well.

I disagree with you on almost everything, but it's nice to discuss things we agree on, alot of this is a psyop.

Just some quick examples of Fox News acting insane and pushing some obviously fake stories.

I mean, in one of the examples on that list Glenn Beck literally tossed a frog into boiling water to prove a point (though the whole thing backfired when the frog didn’t jump out).

So a silly science experiment by Glenn Beck is the equivalent of the Russian collusion hoax or completely making up a racist/hate story?

Do you have an example of a made-up story of the magnitude of either of my examples that was pushed by Fox for an extended period did time?

There has to be an unbiased oversight committee in media. The trust is so low, and the ethics lower, that it is ok to make things up if it supports your narrative. Anonymous sources, unnamed sources, and whistle blowers must go through some sort of background to prove credibility for stories. That could remove BS and hold journalist accountable to actually reporting the news.

At the end of the day, we (consumers) pay for it all so if we really wanted it to change, we could make it.
