Just so I get this straight. Roberts sided with the liberals proclaiming hospital privileges required within a 30 mile radius place an undue burden on women yet refused to hear a case in the Second Amendment involving justifying a special need to carry a firearm. Need a weapon for self defense? Waiting periods, practical bans like DC has on the sale of guns, bans on semi autos, allow restrictions like microstamping to exist when the technology doesn't, registration and permits to maintain, magazine bans and by not hearing it Robert's effectively killed a right that 10 years ago he supported.
Every time gun control pops up, liberals tell us no right is absolute. Every time a First Amendment case pops up, liberals tells us no right is absolute but can some one tell me what restriction is allowed on abortion?

Sadly, another conservative Justice won't fix our Roberts problem. He will start siding with conservatives if we get another and write the opinions himself so he can water them down as much as possible.

This is the right decision imo and a win for the women of Louisiana.

I'm afraid this battle is lost for good. Just look at the idiots are coming into this world now. It's a lost cause so yeah the less they produce the better it is for the sane people of this country.

So R’s like big business and don’t like government telling them what they can or can’t do... Except when it comes to abortion?
I don’t necessarily agree with abortion, but allowing government to regulate if people can or can’t have them is one step away from government telling people that they can or can’t have children. Don’t think it can’t happen, check out Stump v. Sparkman.

No. Allowing people to literally kill their kids on a whim flies in the face of the government promoting the "life" part of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
The most innocent and defenseless among us are on the chopping block here.

My hospital will not allow admission without privileges.
If they need emergency treatment they go to the ER. If they need admission the ER doctor will admit them. There is no requirement that everyone doing outpatient procedures must have hospital admitting privileges. This was a special rule for abortion providers.

Was this centered on MD having privileges within 30 miles? If so, that is a patient safety issue. My hospital will not allow admission without privileges.
EXACTLY! if something goes wrong, these mills cannot get hospital for the patient now. patient safety gone... that's alright though, they can join the victim for all I care too.

So, how many of the people on here speaking out against abortion have adopted unwanted children?

This is more properly directed at Congress in particular. Like almost all other wedge issues, it could be totally resolved without SCOTUS's involvement if Congress simply did its job and legislated.

Bet you have never worked in an ER.
Laypeople make patient care seem so simple. Sure it can work. Is it optimal care? No.

The government already tells you that murder is illegal

I've never driven a woman to the hospital or a shelter after she's been beaten by her husband. Does that mean I can't be against men beating the shite out of their wives?
frick off

Do you think all outpatient procedures should require admitting priveledges?

Abortion needs to be legal and readily available. The last thing we need is more unwanted children growing up to be criminals or on welfare.
No, abortion needs to be criminalized and children need to be educated on the consequences of sex and proper family planning - something that magically disappeared in education when RvW was passed.

Which results in a ton of pregnancies and births of unwanted children. Young people aren’t going to listen and don’t give a shite about family planning, they just want to do what their hormones tell them to do and frick. This has been the case since humans first walked the earth and isn’t going to change.
If you wNt to do away with abortion be prepared for a very significant rise in people growing up on welfare, significant increase in families in poverty, and a tax increase to pay for it. Sorry but that’s reality.
