Have we discussed this? There’s a video which is very short and doesn’t contain anything really other than the lady complaining. I’ve searched and can’t find anything from the manager guy.

I think I’ve finally decided what the difference is between me and the progressives: they instantly believe, with the limited information provided, that this is clearly racism. While I’m not saying that this isn’t, but I’d like more information before I decide. Of course that didn’t happen here as the people were fired and the management changed their dress code.

Did you know a Macy’s employee called a two black males the N-word? One beat the employee up, while saying the N-word a dozen times and his brother filmed it while laughing.

Seems like the issue is mess shorts.

Were there any other black people in the restaurant?

That’s your white privilege. These people are trying to survive in the lily white streets of Baltimore and must make snap decisions that could be the difference in living and dying.

She wasn't complaining. She was asking for clarity. The video that I watched clearly shows preferential treatment for the light skinned child. Maybe the light skinned person arrived during athletic gear lunch hours. Yeah, that explains it.

So, near as I can tell, the managers FOLLOWED company dress code...….the company fired their asses...……….then updated the dress code?

This is the kind of retardation one is afflicted with when they can't even be bothered to read.

When I am very mildly annoyed or inconvenienced at lunch for something that is pretty much my fault, I generally just just leave and go to another restaurant instead of reaching out for national attention. That's just me, though.

It’s retaliation for the hate crimes the black mob is doing to whites in the streets. You know, how black folks are ok with it since it’s payback for slavery.

That was a poor move by the employees.

There are times I do not go into an place because of how I am dressed would not be comfortable for me.

When Grant pushes back and points out a white boy who is wearing clothing that appears similar

Here's the key.

Without being able to compare the two boys, it's hard to determine if the two were treated differently.

But, it's hard to believe that if the white kid got in and the black mother pointed him out and the two were wearing similar clothing that violated the restaurant's dress code that the manager wouldn't say, "Okay, we screwed up letting that family in. We'll have a talk with our employees, and you are welcome to dine today. But, in the future, please understand that we have this dress code."

ETA: After watching the video, I believe that the woman believes that because the white kid was wearing tennis shoes, that is what constitutes "athletic wear." The restaurant should have just clarified that tennis shoes are okay (they'd probably turn away more than half their customers if they prohibited tennis shoes), but basketball shorts and shirts (i.e., "athletic WEAR") is not.

This where I differ from most. Freedom of association should still be a real thing. If you can own a business with a functional model based of who you serve and who you don’t I am fine with it. If a business wants smoking, so be it, if a business only wants to serve gays, so be it. Same applies for races, genders, sports fans, a dress code, a political party, law enforcement, etc. Why would you fight to give your money to someone that doesn’t want it.

The barbershop in the town I moved from didn’t allow women or blacks in his shop, I stopped going to them when I saw it. But I’m not going to force him to allow either. The KFC in the same town stopped serving white folks and went out of business. One business model worked the other didn’t. The system fixed itself. The barbershop was open as to why it had its policy (they didn’t cut women or blacks hair, didn’t know how with no need to learn) and survived as a 2 person shop cutting hair. The KFC just gave shitty service to white folks or told them they were out of product while serving blacks the same product. They failed.

And, if you read, you'll see that apparently, it was athletic shorts that was the difference.

If you read, you'll ALSO learn that the company actually has AMENDED their dress code in response to this which TELLS YOU(if you aren't retarded) that their prior code was actually the problem.

Video, as always, leaves shite out and people like you are too fricking dumb to know it.
