Looks like JB could be an on the field OC.
Poor Cincy, so inept. They are realizing the mental horsepower of Joe beyond what they thought. One of his many attributes.

I was going to post something in the other direction, but upon further review, -

Yeah, the Bengals are mishandling this. I don't care if Burrow is ahead of the other rookies, or even ahead of some of the offensive starters. He's not intended as depth, he was taken #1 in the draft with the intention of making him your starter. I get going at a pace that doesn't overwhelm him, but if he's clearly digesting things and asking for more, you give him that.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand this is why you’re the Cincinatti Bengals.

Sure, you keep the rookie meeting flowing for other rookies that aren’t on Joe’s level. What you do not do, however, is make the future of your franchise wait a day or two or three to get an answer to his questions. Have him and the OC working separately so he can get the information as soon as he’s ready for it so he can grasp the entire offense as soon as he’s able.

Can't say I am surprised. Joe hates to lose, he will work his arse off to succeed.

Talent wise I’ve seen plenty of QBs ready for the NFL. Burrow has taken the mental approach starting18 months ago and been preparing himself for greatness like no other college kid I’ve seen in decades. Most of the big names come out cocky but not prepared. I think he has the tools to back it up if his team can get it together and allow him to do it.

That could be why they are terrible. Owners let them get away with it as well.

He may do for Cincy what Brees did for New Orleans.

Remember O and his staff's first meeting with Joe. O said, after 20 minutes it was obvious who was the smartest person in the room. Nothing new here.
