The good ole days of Hangout. Had to have been the best lineup ever for Hangout with a real festival feel.
Were any of you there?
Paul Simon, Foo Fighters, Widespread Panic, Flaming Lips, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Primus, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Girl Talk, Ween and Matisyahu, the Warren Haynes Band, Umphrey’s McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Drive-By Truckers, Amos Lee, Old Crow Medicine Show, G. Love & Special Sauce, Medeski Martin & Wood, Keller Williams, Galactic, Xavier Rudd, Minus the Bear, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Portugal the Man, Jonathan Tyler & Northern Lights, A Thousand Horses, The Avett Brothers, STS9, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Brandi Carlisle, JJ Grey and Mofro, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Big Gigantic, Soja, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Rival Sons and Honey Island Swamp Band.

I was there. My 21st birthday Got front row for Paul Simon, I barely knew who he was at the time but he was awesome. Matisyahu blew us away for the Sunday morning Wake and bake show, he was awesome. First time I saw a real jam band in WP, they were great. Slightly Stoopid was late but the little they did played was just the perfect beach jam, never seen so much marijuana smoke in the air. The Bassnectar and Pretty Lights late night shows is what really did it for me though, first time id ever been to an edm/rave show and it hooked me into that scene from about 21-26 lol
Went back in 2012 and may have had an even better time that year. That was the last time I went

Ween on the beach was special
Glad I got to see Mötorhead. RIP Lemmy!
Primus, My Morning Jacket, Medeski Martin & Wood were all great as expected. The Black Keys were peaking critically and (I believe) hadn't sold out to car commercials. I honestly can't remember Portugal the Man. Minus the Bear was surpsingly a good time, as was Grace Potter. I was pretty miserable at STS9, it would turn out to be the 2nd to last time I saw them.
Great weekend of weather, so many hot babes in bikinis, felt like a SEC party. This specific year of Hangout is quite popular on this board. Raged with tGOAT @Paul Allen. First and only time I went.

2012 & 2013 lineups were no slouches either. Especially looking back at some of the lower billed acts at the time.

Wsp was boring as hell and i fell asleep on the beach while they were playing.
Most fun i had at a set all weekend was Michael Franti acoustic at the kids stage.

Ceelo Green was also there. He was running late so Foo Fighters came out hours before their set and played cover songs. Ceelo showed up after a few songs and the foo fighters stayed out there and played one or two of his songs with him.

One of my favorite memories from any fest.

I was there with my toes in the Sand for the Foo's.
Funny thing about that day is they actually played 2 sets. Ce Lo Green showed up late so the Foo's took the stage and played a cover set. Really cool seeing them play Darlin' Nikki by Prince live.
2011 Hangout was an amazing experience before MTV took it over and it got all corporate.
Edit: Just saw the other talk about the Cee Lo stuff above

Of course I was there. They had a shite pile of BP Oil spill money to use to bring in the big acts like Widespread Panic and Foo Fighters.
Widespread Panic played a great set.
Paul Simon closing out was a great treat! Miss those good ole days of rock n roll hangout fest.
