Rewatching for first time in forever. First season is so good. I remember it getting really dumb in later seasons.

I think I started watching season 1 late one night. Ended up staying up almost all night. Had me hooked from the start. Last couple of seasons really went off the rails. I couldn't finish the final season.

Author of the books lived most of her life around where I grew up.
Someone that knew her well told me once that she could write a book in less than a month and that she had built a method that was essentially plug and play for an entire novel. She just put in new details and names, but the structure was always the same.
That's how she could pump out so many books and so many series.
She wrote novels for 20 years before she made it big, even saying that she used to sell rights to her books for like $5,000 and they never turned into anything. Now she's apparently worth $100 million-plus.
I only watched the first few episodes of the show, but they were really good. From what I remember, though, it really trailed off after the first couple seasons.

The first couple of books were ok. It is amazing she got HBO to make the series. I think they wanted in on the Twilight money so anything with Vampires and chicks was ok because I never felt like the books were great. More like time killers. Sometimes they felt like they were written by a teen girl.
If I remember correctly the show deviated almost immediately from the books. Lafayette was killed in the books and probably should have died in the show. I think I gave up on the books after the 3rd or 4th book.

I love the fresh take Jason Stackhouse gives on the dumb jock character.

Where they can be at the aquarium in Monroe and a bar in NOLA in an hour or less.
But damn if I didn’t enjoy every second of it
Anna Camp was on Covino and Rich on SXM Faction Talk one day this week. Even without being able to see her she’s sexy as all hell.

Travesty that she never really showed the goods on True Blood

Hate that the actor Nelsan Ellis, who played Lafayette, drank himself to death.
Put on some good performances.

Man I really enjoyed the first two seasons before it started to go off the rails. Just entertaining as hell for awhile.

Might be my favorite intro song/video of all time.
Show starts out awesome.
Turns out OK. Not great but definitely stays entertaining through to the end.

I thought it was dumb from the beginning, tried but couldn't get into it.

Been a few years but didn't Hoyt hook up with her later on?

I've always been 100% on team Bernadette.

I never could get past the terrible fake accents. I made it about 20 minutes into the first episode and had to turn it off.

One of the greatest T&A lineups in tv history.
There were about 3 seasons that were just amazing campy, pulpy television:
When Bill and Eric got trapped with the Vampire Authority in the bunker and they all start going batshit it was fricking amazing.
Russell Edgington tearing that news anchor's spine out on tv.
The shapeshifter going from fly to human and exploding that woman.
Tara and Jessica were two of the most annoying and easily hateable characters of any show I've ever watched.

Anna Paquin had great tits
Solid arse too.
Early seasons are filled with nudity from the likes of Lizzy Caplan and Lynn Collins as well.
