Is making a paper airplane still a skill most boys can do? I seriously thought Boeing was going to contact me at some point due to my skillz

Hijack (See what I did there? It's an airplane thread.)
Who remembers the paper airplane contest in the superdome when you would fly planes from the stands onto the field and tried to land in the circle on the ground that contained a prize? Grand prize was always a car on the 50 yard line with an open sunroof.
You could bring UNFOLDED sheets of paper with your name, address and phone number on them into the stadium. There was a time limit and you folded and flew as many planes as possible. That thing was a blast. They should bring it back.

I can still make those paper poppers that we used to annoy our teachers with in elementary

Or a paper football.
It's been so long I doubt I could do either.

I've thrown a few during games from pretty high up. Think I made it to the sideline once.

We would buy a program at the LSU home games just so we could rip the pages out and throw paper airplanes on to the field. We were upper S. end young student section and was a feat just to get to the lower deck. If you made it to the field you were legend. Good times.

They did this at NLU basketball games in the 90s as well

Bruh, I forgot all about the poppers.

Here is a good one.
Take right upper corner (A) and fold it over to make a 45 degree angle. The top left(B) over to make a 45. Then point (C) formed (when A & B folds are completed) is folded 1.5 inches toward bottom (D). Then right flat portion (E) is folded over until it touches left flat portion (F). The E&F are folded 33 degrees toward (D) and then 27 degrees toward C, forming (G). G is rolled 6 times toward B, flexing the roll slightly to form a conical shape (H). and D is rolled toward G to form a slightly more rounded than conical shape (I). H and I are flattened to form structures (J) and (K)that run from C toward G. flip sheet over, reversing locations A&B G&H I&F. Fold F toward Sigma P and the reverse hypotenuse of the angle formed (actually the cosine of a tangent line down the central axis (M). Flex the axis M and bend it no more than 8 degrees to form a tangent line (S) to an imaginary circle (Kappa R). The bottom half of tangent line S is folded back toward original point A. and the other half toward original point B.
Crumple completed aircraft up and throw it at teacher's back. Then point at Charles when she spins around.

One of my proudest childhood moments was winning the paper airplane contest at an Indian Guides camp out. 36 ft.
