Never. They will never admit it. Too many people have bought in too deeply to admit they were completely duped, primarily people in positions of authority.

I think there has to be a distinction. Covid-19 is NOT a sham. However, the necessity of this level of response to it is. We have had "pandemics" in this country many times and NEVER overreacted like this. And before we have those who come in a say we've never had a disease this "deadly", I would counter by saying the only reason we know this disease is "more deadly" is because we have never paid so much attention to one of these (generally respiratory inhibiting) diseases. We're seeing these hundreds of thousands of case because for the first time in modern US history we are turning over every rock to look for them.

I don’t think it was necessarily a ‘sham’, but an opportunistic overreaction.
I believe initial fears were legit but the story was hijacked by the media and politicians and used to further their agenda.
It’s a legit Illness that strangely affects people very differently, and not always the fat and old that get hit hard.
I know middle aged and fit guys that have taken a hard punch to the face.
I know of an couple in their 70’s that had a light flu like illness.
I know a morbidly obese 30 year old woman with pre existing conditions that wants to come back to work but not being allowed by HR until she test negative.
So, I guess I don’t know what to think but I sure don’t want the illness to find out how it will affect me.

I’m gonna go tell the 50 year old I took care of to stop being a liberal operative. Climb out of his ICU bed Roto-Prone device and cough all the pneumonia out of his lungs. Drink a glass of water with milk thistle in it to get his kidneys and liver out of failure. Those Russian bots are getting advanced.

It’s insane! Especially the college aged kids. You can tell the ones, they will stare you down and noticeably act like you’re in their space. I piss them off at Rouses. It’s funnier when I bring my kids because they look even more agitated.

Do you do that with every respiratory illness that kills people or just COVID?
