props to them for not being led astray by a politically driven narrative.
I think most of the local Chicago residents are fed up with the crime, but their voice doesn’t matter because it doesn’t help the narrative being pushed. Most locals there, like here in New Orleans, seem to call out the bullshite being pushed by outsiders.

Are you under the impression that police won't be actively investigating this murder and won't make an arrest if they find anything that so much as resembles a possible suspect?
And judging by the OP's post history, at him actually caring about the kid. The downvotes by his fellow garbage prove my point. Sad group.

LINK
quote:
A 27-year-old man was driving south on Central Avenue when someone in a blue Honda fired shots at the car, hitting him and the 3-year-old, police said.
Chief Fred Waller told reporters on the scene the shooter drove up behind the second car and fired shots into the back of the car.
The man’s abdomen was grazed by a bullet and the child was shot in his back, police said.
The man drove to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where the child was pronounced dead.
I read it was Dad then read stepfather
Also read he was the target but don’t know if that was confirmed
ETA
Start typing 3 year old & killed in Chicago fills in on Google
You can read a bunch of different links
I picked the 1st one

Since when has an active investigation stopped outrage, protests, and riots?

If you aren't under that impression, would you say that is in any way similar to how the George Floyd "investigation" was handled prior to the protests
Wasn’t he charged before the autopsy ?

In one case, a citizen was murdered by a government agent on video and there was no arrest.
In one case, a citizen was (presumably) murdered by a private citizen. The investigation is (presumably) ongoing.
Do these two situations seem similar to you? Are people really under the impression the protesting would have the same effect on street level crime as it would on government action?
It's a nice talking point, but it makes zero sense from any logical perspective.

After the protests, before the autopsy.
For context, practically every client I've ever represented on murder charges was arrested before the autopsy was completed.

Oh, is this the first time there has been outrage over a murder? Is there only ever outrage when the government does the killing? Do you not remember what happened in Georgia just a couple weeks ago?

Honestly, the “protestors” have a better chance of curbing these types of senseless crimes than they do the ones they are “protesting” over.

Poor baby. That makes me sick to my stomach. I can’t even imagine losing my child.
I don't have a child, but to say I would never kill would be a lie. If someone harmed my child, or God forbid, killed him or her..... I don't even want to think about it. This pisses me off. I had a friend who lost a child to murder.
ETA: Before someone RA's my post, context. I would never kill in any situation other than to defend myself or others.

Only matters if white people did it.

I do. In that case, even though the murderers were private citizens, there were protests due to government action (or lack thereof). Had the murderers been arrested, protests would have made little sense. Instead, it took a month and a half to arrest them, even though the murder was on video.
Protests, generally, are intended to influence institutions, whether governmental or private, like a business. But again, the purpose is to influence future action. If I kill you in the street, and the police arrest me, what future action are the demonstrators seeking to influence? That some random a-hole won’t commit a murder in the future?

Meh. Feels more like y’all trying to win an internet argument than actually mourning over a tragedy.

Okay, and each cop involved in Floyd’s death has been arrested, so why are we still protesting?

They believe that the institutions that allowed this to happen need to be reformed or replaced. Otherwise, events like this will keep happening.
In short, because they don’t want to have to protest again.

For further context you’re an idiot for comparing the two.

Do you not agree that they could do more to prevent the senseless murder of blacks if they showed the same level of discontent with violence in their own community?

You’re right. Join me on the I-10. Bring a sign. Let’s block the interstate to show we care.
