You need to ask the governor why he’s making these threats in relation to the death rate. Not me. And the rest of your questioning is just bullshite, but you do you.
Lol so you only want to focus on one data point specifically and have a conversation around that. Got it.
And you fricking brought up the borders being left open which could be a cause in a rise.
You don’t want to hold your boys Cruz and Gohmert to any accountability in bringing this to light publicly. But you blame Trump for anything and everything. You’ve got double standards like progressives bro.

The problem is all of the damned testing...just stop testing people and quit doing autopsies on dead folks...what is it helping, really??? No testing means we don't know if the virus even exists and no autopsies means no one knows if it is killing anyone if it does exist...hell within a month or so we just go back to normal a couple of million people die extra but from what who knows and we have herd immunity and he numbers come down.
Even better we should retroactively say that no one in the US has ever had the virus and in fact there is no virus...that will end it for by god good....

What is the death rate trend? What is the amount of time in hospitals? How many are asymptomatic as compared to symptomatic? How many in the ICU? What is the age trend?
None of that matters...just quit testing and the virus is cured...

After 20+ days of democrats spreading it amongst themselves, of course cases are up

Texas started separating antibody testing from other tests in late May. It had nothing to do with the jump.
In fact,
That’s when the story broke that Texas had been counting antibody testing.
Ok.
Hmmm.
So we went from 4.5 to 9 percent without antibody testing counted.

In fact,
quote:
Abbott emphasized the relative smallness of the changes in the positivity rates as he argued in the TV interview that Texas is still seeing an overall downward trajectory in its positivity rate.
"The trends are exactly the same with or without the antibody tests," Abbott said.
That’s when the story broke that Texas had been counting antibody testing.
quote:
Of the 49,313 antibody tests, 2,114 — or 4.3% — have come back positive, according to the new data.
Ok.
quote:
After blowback, Texas admits 6% of its reported tests were for antibodies, not active infections
Hmmm.
So we went from 4.5 to 9 percent without antibody testing counted.

Here are current TX stats as of 6/22:
Total tests: 1,767,701
Viral tests: 1,549,009
Antibody Tests: 166,168
Cases reported: 114,881 (6,527 antibody positives, 108,354 viral positives)
Fatalities: 2,192
CFR: 1.9%
Est. Recoveries: 69,190
Est. Active: 43,499
If you do any math on the positivity rate based on tests and cases above, just note that the one being reported today is based on the last 7 days of positives / last 7 days of tests, not overall figures (note, they still keep antibody positives in the numerator but stopped adding the antibody tests to the denominator starting 5/19.)

You are a piece of work. You asked about Republican politicians I still liked (and I answered it, with qualifications), and you now act like I’m their G.D. head cheerleader.
I’m not.
I’m not.

That’s not what you said. You said it was irrelevant if the number of new cases included serology testing. Now you’re dancing again. Because you’re a fricking liar.

Really? Could you link this?

It’s irrelevant. The governor said so.

Lol. So you don’t even understand the question. That figures.

The note below the chart indicates the denominator was changed, but did not indicate whether or not the numerator changed, so I assume it didn't. However, reading your article, the may have never included the antibody positives in the numerator even when they included the tests in the denominator.
Your link also shows the daily rate for 6/21 at 16.9%, so I don't know where they are getting their numbers or information.

Cases are up from about 1,500 a day to more than 3,500. Hospitalizations have jumped from about 1,600 a day to more than 3,200.
great so then we can send a camera crew to any of these hospitals to confirm they have hundreds of china flu patients requiring hospitalization?
i'll bet my months income they cant gather up 100 people from the entire state hospitalized with bat flu

Meanwhile, the total number of US deaths is under 300 again today.
Posted on 6/22/20 at 5:13 pm to the808bass
That antibody testing would inflate the positivity rate? That was shown to be false, in Texas.
