That’s not how hospitals make money. Since Obamacare kicked in, hospitals make money by getting people in and out ASAP. It’s all about turnover. Taking covid patients locks up a room for 2 weeks or more. That’s the way to LOSE money in the current format.

Based on what I was told, they are testing everyone admitted to the hospital for COVID. If you’re positive, you’re in the hospitalization stats. Regardless of your symptoms or why you’re being admitted.
