Rum House circa 2012-2015? Can’t think of the name. I think it’s a cosmetic retail store now.

There used to be an Ignatius Grocery (?) something like that, right around there. There was another one closer to Napoleon as well.

I can't think of anything directly across the street but in that vicinity there have been several places where The Vintage and Haydel's are now.

There was a New Orleans food type place and then something after that that I cannot recall.

Ignatius Eatery was what the Vintage is now and is directly across from Rum House. Ignatius also sold brunch. They closed in 2018 and we're open for several years. That's likely what OP is thinking of.

It was Gott Gourmet. Looks like I was on the wrong side of the block. Was having a discussion with my wife about places we use to dine out before kids, and couldn’t think of the name to save my life.

Gott Gourmet was pretty good right after Katrina.
Then there was Cafe Rani, that great brunch spot in the courtyard of that mall across Magazine where Broken Egg is now.
