He proclaimed freedom, and Freedoms (pl) then instituted 3 strikes, mandatory minimums, CAF, stiffer penalties for drug crimes, militarization of police, increasing the activities of the US as a World Police by dictating to sovereign foreign nations under military threat to crack down on drugs. Nixon declared war on our own citizens, Reagan turned it up two notches.
He turned out to be noting more than another vaudeville magician. Using the right hand to distract and draw attention so he could do stuff unnoticed with the left hand.
