tweeted Tuesday night in support of removing a statue of former president Lawrence Sullivan Ross.

The statue is known as "Sully" and has been on campus since 1919.
quote:
Ross, president at Texas A&M from 1891-1898, was a brigadier general in the Confederate Army and has faced claims of mistreatment of Blacks and indigenous people in Texas.

Mond better worry about his own underachievement.

Aggie will cave thats for sure

Neither self awareness, nor intellectual aptitude, have ever been hallmarks of Mond...the self proclaimed "best quarterback in the SEC."

They might have to cancel or rename a whole university also named after the man.

The Sul Ross statue controversy has been raised multiple times over recent years.
No clue what will happen, but I won’t be surprised with whatever outcome comes to pass.
Mond is receiving overwhelming support from his teammates—and especially former players—on this.
Makes me sad.

OK, what'd HE do wrong?

Is this just like the cool thing to do now? Look around for traces of statues, memorials, buildings that bear the namesake of white people who lived between 1700 and 1960?

Y’all better listen to the best QB in sec

Dammit, Mond.
This is where we're at. Either all of it is okay, or none of it is.
Since no human is perfect, no statues of humans. Just rainbows and unicorns allowed. They're perfect.
Naming buildings and streets after people? Again, no human is perfect, so "un" name all the buildings and streets and give them functional or descriptive names that assist in finding them or understanding their function.
And - with that - the problem is solved. If ANY statue of a human remains, or ANY building/street remains named after a human being, I'm offended by that. I'm offended by imperfection.

Yup. Been trying to tell people this. At some point, the carousel has to stop.

Did he not tour campus before accepting his offer?
