This is a very common theme many on the left try to push to prove all cops are racist

There's a reason they want to delete history, so they can create their own.

Pushed hard by the left...along with calling electoral college as racist, according to Stacey abrams

They had slave patrols in New York City in the 1840's?

They want to eliminate local control of police and end the power of the police union. If they get their way the police will strictly be the enforcement arm of the left.

I mean it could possibly be true in some vague way, but policing started well before America either way and is in every country. So did slavery of course...but that's another topic.

He is probably right, in the sense that he is referencing something very vague he can use to claim his statement valid, and no one will challenge him because BLM and all.

They can literally say anything at this point.

It was rather gross watching Bret Baier fellate this guy and gush all over him, thanking him repeatedly for speaking to Fox News.

Blame Rome.
quote:

Starting about 27 BC, Augustus added a police function to the Vigiles to counterbalance the urban mobs that had run rampant during the latter days of the Republic.

In addition to extinguishing fires, the Vigiles were the nightwatch of Rome. Their duties included apprehending thieves and robbers and capturing runaway slaves.

I think the oldest depart was established in Boston in the mid 1830s. Before that they had a day watch and a night watch that were not under the same control. Mostly they did petty crime stuff in the poor/immigrant district.

Oddly enough they didn’t patrol the plantations of Boston keeping runaway slaves in check.

. Modern policing started well after the transatlantic slave trade & has some roots in the old slave patrols. Slaves called the armed White gunmen who stopped , questioned & tracked them down " pattyrollers".

Why does anyone watch anything on Fox News other than their primetime lineup or Fox Business with Lou Dobbs??

I see that creepshow Baier or Martha McCallum or anyone other than Harris Faulkner, I change the channel.

If I wanted fricking Paul Ryan talking points, I'd get on that RINO POS's email list.

There has been a uniformed and organized police force for Paris, France, since at least Louis XVI.

Yankee cities started "professionalizing" watchmen and nightwatch folks in the mid-17th Century, a generation or more before the slave patrols in North Carolina.

The very idea that policing, per se, is racist and rooted in slavery is PREPOSTEROUS.

There is evidence of policing in some fashion all the way back to the earliest recorded history of China.
