Are you going to sleep in it? Or call timeout to put it on after the break in?

Again, why does a home invasion have to be the only scenario to be prepared for?

Hesco L210 Special threat Plates in a Perroz LPSPC carrier.
No need to go into why, everyone has there own reasons.
I originally bought some Spartan AR550 plates but upgraded to the Hescos after a short time with the steel plates.
The 210s wont stop everything but will stop almost everything I would imagine needing them for, that is unless i get clapped by someone's Uncle Donny sniping me with a 270 Weatherby,
The trade off in weight is worth it to me.

I never understood the armor in Star Wars. None of it ever seemed to do anything. Stormtrooper armor looks like plastic and has never stopped a laser gun.

No doubt your surprise stems from you not knowing me or anything about me.

with that logic, i guess LEOs and service men don't need body armor either.

found this setup at spartan's website. seems like a good budget friendly deal, but damn if it doesn't take 10-12 weeks to get it. that's insane.
Spartan Website
i've been eyeing this setup too from ar500 armor, but i don't know if sideplates are worth the extra money. i'd have to get the extra cumberbund, side plates and plate pouches, but the lead time is half. not to mention, the plates you do get with this setup are flat. curved plates are extra.
AR500 Armor website
the reason the budget it so low is i plan on buying 2 (me and the wife).

Those steel plates will weigh close to 30lbs. Id do curved plates.
Dont know about side plates, but a wider cumberbund with elastic would be way more comfortable than a thin piece of webbing.
