How to cook a skinless salmon filet on BGE?

My wife bought seasoned salmon filet’s and can only find instructions with skin on versions.
What’s the best way to cook these?
Also can’t find the cedar planks anywhere.

Wrap in foil with herbs and lemon? Or maybe parchment paper if you are grilling above 400

I would do this but just form the foil into a cup or boat shape. You dont need to wrap over completely. You want the charcoal flavor to get to the meat.

Hot grill , straight on the grates (oil grates) a minute or 2 each side

I had been looking at putting them on my grill grates on the flat side and Greasing it up so they don’t stick. Is there a specific temp I should shoot for?

Go to Home Depot and buy a 6 ft piece of Cedar Fence board. Cut it in 12 to 15 in pieces. There you have about 5 cedar planks for a little over a buck, or whatever fence planks cost. Make certain it is Cedar and not Pine. Thank me later.

Lay flat on foil with a little olive on it until done. Shouldn’t take long

You can absolutely do that. I'd shoot for 350-375. You can even. Cook hotter but you will have to monitor more carefully.
I have grill grates on my gas grill and I leave half flat side up and half grill side up.

And stuff it (sporadically insert) with dill and capers. Lemon it up a bit. Good olive oil (not table grade EVOO, but good). Some potent fresh black pepper, as well. Very light on some good Himalayan salt.

Just go buy some cedar fencing pickets at Lowe's.

You could do it with out cedar planks, just use the BGE place setter at 375 or so and use a light rub , w lemons slices and a little butter.
Chili powder
Cayenne
Brown sugar
Salt and pepper
I like the Lowes cedar idea better over direct coals, after soaking the plank in water for an hour or two.
This is an easy to cook fish just watch it.

As old school is it is...soaked cedar planks on a hot grill...are great.
Basting with anything that suits your fancy works well...

Got this recipe at a salmon lodge in Alaska several years ago and still my favorite. Wrap salmon in procuitto then chill for a few hours so it will adhere to the salmon. Grill on oiled grate , then top with a mix of olive oil , lemon, garlic and fresh parsley. Greater than the sum of its parts

What advantage does using foil give you when cooking salmon?
