Why is it that companies and businesses feel forced to make a statement?

On the current Floyd/BLM stuff. I don’t get why businesses thousands of miles away from Minn feel like they absolutely have to make a statement on these issues and the riots going on. I don’t remember all these businesses making statements when the Alton sterling mess was going on, or for Trayvon martin. Why now?

Once a critical mass of them began issuing these stupid arse statements, at that point not issuing a statement made it look like you were making a statement.

That’s my point. If a business has never “chosen sides” why feel the need to start now. And I’m not talking about national or international, hell im seeing local and regional businesses doing it

Had an online chat with Verizon wireless rep yesterday.....First was the autobot who sent a bunch of virtue signaling messages.
I requested a live rep and told her that Verizon is my phone provider.

I saw your OT thread with the references to Mao as the guiding force in all of that.
