Beck aside, damn Hershel is giving me chills. This man needs to be heard.
Sorry, no link. It’s happening live.

Hershel is a great man and should be a role model for all people. Quick story; perhaps 8 years ago I was at the LSU game in Athens in a suite. Hershel walked in and by chance sat directly in front of me. He was introduced to me by a friend and then began talking to me. He sincerely wanted to know about me and my story. I am a nobody really but Hershel blew me away with his sincerity and class. That dude is special.

Jay Z, who sold drugs to people in the community he grew up in, gets more respect from the AA community than Hershel. Sad.

People who refuse to listen to the Beck show because he can be a flake, are missing out on many great guest he has on his program.

I specifically enjoyed ....
"I will start a fund. If you think there is someplace better than the US to go, we will pay for your ticket and send you. The rest of the world wants to come here for a reason."

He learned it from his mother.
Richard Condon has a great story about meeting Herschel's mom when he was with Coca-Cola early in his career.

The man grew up in a tiny town in an area of Georgia that was ground zero for slavery, poor as dirt during a time when there was much more racism towards black people than today. Yet, he seemingly carries no scars and harbors no animosity, thinks logically and acts with class. Just an outstanding human being.

That was a great game, one that would have been better in seats than in a suite. We were next to some classy LSU fans and the deal was whenever a team scored, the other fans have to top up your coke cup with their whiskey. We were all fricking plastered by the end of that one.

Wrightsville GA, the armpit of Georgia.
My family was from that area and my great aunt lived there from the 50's-til her death in the 70's. When I was young I would go visit her there and I hated it. Even in the late 70's it was literally dirt roads, the poorest people you could imagine, and there was no confusing about what side of track you better stay on.
Not much has changed sad to say!

Give him 24 hrs and he'll kneel just like Brees. They'll make him.
