First of all, the word you’re looking for is “vain.” Who’s a stupid frick, here?
Second, the very notion that the Saints players now deserve to “die on a hill” for their reactions to Drew’s insensitive answer IS cancel culture - in and of itself. It’s just promoted toward (Mostly) black people expressing an opinion you disagree with, so you don’t see it that way.
