According to arrest records, Floyd began saying "I can't breathe" before being pinned

This seems rather significant. "I Can't Breathe" has become the refrain for the entire movement that we see taking place throughout the country. The current contextual interpretation is one that symbolizes police brutality and systemic racism against black individuals, as everyone accepts that Floyd's utterance of these words was secondary to Chauvin's knee being applied to his neck.
But if Floyd was saying "I can't breathe" before he was ever pinned to the ground, does that not significantly change the current understanding of what was causing him difficulty to breathe, and subsequently succumbing to cardiac arrest?
The arrest record spells it out - "While standing outside the car, Mr. Floyd began saying and repeating that he could not breathe".
Link to the arrest record.

Of course he did. That is SOP.
The cop caused his death but thousands of criminals lying about not being able to breathe contributed it.

So he has trouble breathing so the cop makes it MORE difficult for him to breathe? Not a good defense

Imagine the riots then...

So if it's shown he didn't die of asphyxiation and that he was complaining about not breathing before being restrained, you still will somehow blame his death on the cops?

It probably does change things, at least from a murder vs. manslaughter perspective. People being arrested and being a bitch about it usually say all sorts of things like YOURE HURTING ME and I CANT BREATHE AAHHH. anyone who watches Live PD has seen it. That's why you follow your policy/procedure 100% every time.
I said it when all this stared, the cops probably assumed he was just being a bitch and ignored it. He may have been being a bitch at first and then actually couldnt breathe later.
The crux will be if the cops broke policy at any point.

Doesn't seem like it would be any help but probably rather be more damaging if you look at it in terms of that giving Chauvin even more notice that he probably didn't need to do the knee-neck thing.

Look, it doesn't matter.
The usual suspects want their pound of flesh.
If it wasn't Floyd, it would have been some other incident.
This zhit was gonna happen, Floyd was just the excuse.

I'd say 8 of 10 people being arrested unwillingly say they cant breathe.
Its SOP.

police officers must believe everything a black person says when under arrest!

But 2 autopsy's already show asphyxiation

There may be a lot of mitigating circumstances prior to Floyd's death but it's going to be impossible for the defense team to explain away a 9 minute video of Chauvin's knee on Floyd's neck. Chauvin might as well plead guilty, seek mercy to a prison were his name is masked and hope for parole years from now. Less than that he is a dead man walking.

Cure was to put knee and n his neck

That would be any person, specifically when they're complaining of this type of issue. Are they bullshitting much of the time, probably, but the precise outcome in this case is why you play it on the safe side.
