Natchez Shooters Supplies is a good one I use. If you sign up you’ll get a monthly(?) magazine with lots of deals.

Wikiarms congregates all and shows you the best prices.

Not easy right now though for common pistol and .223 rounds.

Ammo seek is worth a look. It’s a search engine that sometimes yields good results.

Haven't used them since corona. I did catch a sale on sportsmansguide and it was quick.

For those of us out shopping, what brands to look for or avoid? Years ago I had a semi auto and had some cheap ammo that tarred up the carrier rendering it to almost a single shot.

I see a lot of Russian ammo out there. (Tula, Wolf)

Right now I have a can of American Eagle, seems ok.

Pre-Covid, I'd say TargetsportsUSA and SGAmmo usually had the best selection and prices; TargetsportsUSA with free shipping on bulk (cases) and SGAmmo a better deal if you combined calibers while ordering less than a case of each.
Throw in Brownells with a coupon for free shipping, Selway Ammo (usu free if over $300).

But since the Coronavirus scare, supply has dwindled and prices soared, particularly at SGAmmo. TargetsportsUSA has dropped back closer to normal, but still high. Most others have been OOS or insanely high.

Been a lot of bitching about Bass Pro selling things they don't have, but I ordered something listed and it came in 2 wks. So I think it's getting better, and the price was fair.
Found something online at Cabela's, ordered, it came within a week and solid pricing.

Both Bass Pro and Cabela's orders were under $200 with tax and shipped, while SGAmmo is sitting around $300 (269 + tax, + 16 shipping) for any brass-cased stuff. That's way too high for range use. Targetsportsusa has come down to around $220 shipped, + tax.

Memorial Day weekend, I ordered a case of Tula steel 9mm from somewhere called Global Ordnance, $167 shipped, came in a couple days. Good for range fodder.
