I'm at risk. And I am going to do whatever TF I wanna do. I had my spleen taken out after a car wreck at seven and am susceptible to Pneumonia, despite getting those shots, but ZFG. If I get sick, it's my problem. I'm not going to live my life in fear, because if I do, what's the point? Anyone who tells me otherwise can KMA.

A healthy 70 year old has very little risk from COVID-19. Everyone in their 70s only has about a 4% chance of fatality, but obviously those with comorbs dominate that.

If you don't care about yourself then nobody is going to care for you. It becomes a problem when you not caring about yourself affects others.
False. I never said I don't care about myself; I'm not going to be stupid. If people have the flu, I am not going to be around them, or I will be careful. That said, I'm not going to live in irrational fear; I will continue to live life. If I get Corona, I will probably be in a hospital, so you don't have to worry about me affecting others. If I get sick, and I'm not in the hospital, I will self-isolate. I'm not some inconsiderate punk like you interpreted.

And what about the 3-4 days prior to you having symptoms? Where you were still infectious and spreading it all over the place like an outbreak monkey cause you refuse to wear a mask?

if u have the virus a mask DOES work to protect others. the right mask may protect u from others if filtered and the virus does not enter thru ur eyes. better to be smart than stupid.

It's clearly time to quit trying to talk sense into these folks. If I didn't know better, I would swear this clown is my FIL. Doesn't matter how many times you try to explain to them how transmission of this virus works, they don't get it. They think if they don't feel sick, they aren't sick. It's not terribly unlike when people get too old to drive.....it's different from everything they've ever known, so they won't stand for someone changing their routine.
