Well, let’s be clear......I’m a Trump voter.

Nothing wrong with that. At least you are willing to look and see his flaws. And not blindly follow everything he says and think he can do no wrong.

You also can see this is a GLOBAL PANDEMIC and not some elaborate way to get people to vote him out of office in November.

Oh, of course. No one is absolutely right or absolutely good. Hell, there were qualities that I liked about Obama. I like 90% of Trump. He’s done an overall great job. He also has handled this pandemic about as well as anyone could have asked. Could he have done more earlier on? Perhaps. But based on their reactions when he DID implement mitigation measures, I know no democrat would have handled this better.

And yes, I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to ask a fellow Trump voter what the other 211 (or whatever it is now) countries are getting out of the deal. I like to think I can see and consider both sides of an argument objectively and I’ll certainly entertain the efforts of others to educate me. It may help in this case that my wife is a nurse, so I hear a lot of things others aren’t privy to. I don’t disagree with reopening the economy; I just think it would help to take a pragmatic approach to it and it seems Trump has thrown that out the window. My like-minded voting base, for the most part, is choosing to throw all caution to the wind and haven’t shown any ability to self-regulate mitigation efforts, even though they’d have us believe they are perfectly capable of doing so without being told/forced.
