LSU - The National Champions of 1908

The 1908 LSU team was a championship football team. They went 10-0 and out scored their opponents 442 to 11. They competed in the SIAA. From what I gathered, the best way to describe the conference wood be like if the SEC, B12, Division III, CUSA, and the ACC came together and had a drunken night of sex and crack then this is what they wood have birthed. A league that was despicably conceived & illegitimate yet very claimable.
Our season opener was a midnight rape of the Young Men’s Gymnastics Club of New Orleans just to give you an idea of what we are working with here.
Here is the deal. Tulane claimed that we used professional football players. They had no basis for these claims other than we wrecked that arse. This is indeed America the last time that I checked. The land of the free. This country carries with it a very simple yet fundamental principle. You are innocent until proven guilty.
The National Championship Foundation found no proof of any wrongdoing. We were subsequently crowned National Champions.
Don’t at me with but Alabama claimed this and I don’t like going back crap. This isn’t about Alabama. This is about LSU. This is a great injustice to our school. We have a legitimate claim to the crown.
I know the Titanic wasn’t even finished until 1912 but let’s set sail. Let’s do it for America and for the Purple and Gold. Plead the 5th.

Lol. We shouldn't even claim our 58 title. Anything before the BCS era is useless.

We should claim 1935 also.

I will tell you boys. We are doing it whether the rant likes it or not. The school is fixing to recognize it and hang it.

Ok, Karen...

No we shouldn't, unless you want to say lend credence to the idea that USC is just as much a national champion as we were in 2003.

As we should.

I can’t believe it’s taken this long to recognize it to be honest.

Michigan claims early 1900s titles from that selector. LSU isn’t doing anything major schools don’t already do. It’s a legitimate championship and the media recognizes and accepts Michigan’s early 1900s championships.

They claim it too.......

The 1908 and 2019 plaques are almost finished! I’m sure an announcement is forthcoming about finally claiming 1908 NC!

This x1000. I think Michigan claims 7 or 8 pre poll championships.

I remember. Doug Moreau was only in his third year as color commentator.

And we laugh at them for doing so.
Can't do that if we claim 1935

Pretty crazy to think we won the title twice (if including 1908) in about 100 years, then 3 times in 16 years.
