Putting a dryer out tomorrow
If it’s still there Saturday for garbage to pick up I will be shocked

About a year ago I put out a bunch of busted lawn equipment (had hand-me-down lawnmowers and an edger that went to shite) and it was gone in 30 minutes

I've got a guy down the street that fixes these things. Usually see him come home with his bed loaded up. Wonder how many he just grabs from trash and fixes them uo then sells them.

I'm in N.O. and if you put out any appliance or broken mower, lawn equipment, etc. it is usually gone in an hour or less. There's scrap guys running around the city picking up stuff like this all day long.
In my area if you put out something like a sofa, mattress, etc., it is picked up on a Saturday but not on the other pickup day, which is Wednesday.
ETA: Oh, and it helps that when I'm home and hear them coming down the street, I make sure to give them some bottles of cold water to stay hydrated, especially in the summer months. A little kindness goes a long way.
