I wish there were other angles I could find of that pass. End zone looks would clearly show how quickly that ball got to Racey.

Ok. Back on topic. We have not seen Myles play any meaningful downs his whole time at LSU. His pass at that point was decent. But it was ONE fricking play. Once I see him play a whole ballgame and be good at it am Istill not sure about the kid.

He made more than one pass last year I can't imagine many are putting 2019 Burrow type expectations on him, but there is reason to be excited based on what we've seen so far.

Can you try to not bring irrelevant crap to the thread anytime I post?

Dude. He is gonna be starting his 1st game as LSU’S #1 qb in the fall after coming off of what happened last year. If he can handle that pressure we may be on to good things.

Where am I saying something different? You are always so quick to try to jump on me, you don't even care what it is I'm actually saying.

It’s hard to argue with anything the offense did last year but I think he was underutilized and Moss was overutilized.

there’s so much wrong with this post, I don’t know where to start. First the fact they play different positions entirely.

I don't know if that is completely true. He played meaningful snaps vs. Syracuse. It was 21-10 when he came into that game midway through the 3rd quarter. Not exactly a blowout at the time with LSU just running out the clock. He led a TD drive on his first series and they left him in the game even after SU had scored to make it a 28-19 game. He was in the midst of leading a decent drive before throwing a horrible INT. After that, SU scored to cut the lead to 2 and LSU went back to Etling.

He also came into the Troy game with LSU down 17-0 in the second half. Despite the opponent, I would say those were some VERY meaningful snaps for the program and HC. You know Ed had to be feeling the potential heat that would come with a loss to Troy. Yet, he put Brennan in the game in a pressure packed situation with LSU desperately trying to avoid that loss

The results in those games were (as one might expect) mixed. He had some really good plays and even threw TD's in both games. But he also had so horrible INT's in both.

Now, he hasn't played a meaningful snap since. But if you look at he and Burrow at the same points in their careers Brennnan has played FAR more meaningful snaps that Burrow had at that time

2016 -It was a sign of where the program wanted to go with its offense. It was record breaking and it was exciting. And we made those teams look putrid.

but I agree you weren't complaining about O. in you rebuttal though, you are completely wrong.

Good day, sir.

A lot of teams made those teams look putrid.

Nope. Our offense looked like crap against the teams that were actually decent. It doesn't take away anything from 2019 to acknowledge the reality of the interim stint.

The way I see it, if Jake Coker can win a national title then so can Brennan. Surround anyone with the right pieces and schemes and they’ll succeed.

Yeah, not really. The structure and approach of the offense was largely the same (though it was a bit more open with Etling taking over at QB). The two key differences were (1) A very capable Derrius Guice taking over the starting RB role for a clearly banged up Fornette and (2) the competition eased up after the Auburn game. Vs the two best teams LSU played down the stretch (Bama and Florida) the offense scored on 10 points, combined.

Plus, if that is where Ed "wanted the program to go with its offense", then it didn't make much sense for him to hire a guy (Canada) to implement a completely new offense for the next season

Yeah, this could have really been the key to having a better season.

If Brennan this year can be 75% of what Burrow was last year

I mean. If he's 50%, he would have 2840 yards and 30 TDs.

That would be 2nd amongst QBs in LSU history in Passing TDs. And 5th overall in yards. Behind Burrow 2018.
