So I don't post here much, but if they paid me for lurking I would be an OT Baller.
Looking at these two vehicles probably 2017 or 18.
Any experience or advice would be appreciated.
TIA

Can't say much to Wranglers, but bought my wife a 2020 4Runner a few months ago and it's fine. I drive it more than my truck now.

I've been driving a wrangled unlimited 4 door for a year and a half on some pretty terrible roads.
I will never own one.
Top down and doors off is cool, but it doesn't have power and it rides and handles like crap.
I would lean 4 runner, it'll be way more comfortable. (But way less cool)

And lot more reliable.

Those two aren’t in the same ballpark to me.
4Runner all day long.

Thanks
I know the 4runner is a lot more comfortable and reliable it is for my son who really likes the "cool factor" of the Wrangler.

I know the reliability isn't supposed to be good on Wranglers, especially compared to 4Runner. But the leases we have haven't given us any major problems in a year and a half. One of them had speed sensors go out at about 50k. Other than that, no problems. We put some hard miles on them.

Flip the script, get the wrangler. Girls will like it and he can fix the shite himself

I am on my 4th Jeep since 1995. Just sold 2006 Rubicon with 200,000 miles on it and now have 2018 Rubicon with 8,000 miles on it.
To each his own. To my own is Jeep forever.

FJ Cruisers are basically 4Runners and more Jeep-like.

This is my opinion only and not to trash Jeep fans but a Jeep is the worst daily driver ever.

Jeeps pre 2006 are no comparison to what they make now. That straight 6 was bullet proof. That v6 minivan motor now, not so much.

4Runner without a doubt. That shite will outlast cockroaches.

4Runner is bullet proof, the Dodge will be in the shop all the time.
