In Texas we were told no. Single riders until phase three.

We are getting sand bottles in the carts and rakes back in the traps though. The pool float will also be removed from the cup and flags can be removed.

We've been told everything is staying the same through phase 1. 2 to cart only if they're in your household, no rakes, no water jugs, and pvc in cup

ETA: these policies are being enforced by the club, not necessarily state mandates

I've been kind of enjoying the 1 person to a cart rule.

I haven't heard what BRECs plans are but they are enforcing single rider even if you live in the same house as of yesterday. Private courses have their own rules. When I played Lost Key 3 weeks ago you could ride 2 in a car if you choose to.

Carter was two in a cart today as long as you feel comfortable with it

I think we should do with out the rakes. Just use your foot.

I don’t care what anybody says, Quarantine Golf > Regular Golf. Pace of play on a weekend round has prob improved by 45 minutes. People not pulling pins or raking bunkers makes everything go so much faster. I don’t care if it ever goes back.

I second this. I've played almost 30 rounds in the last 2 months (mostly because there's nothing else to do). I can't recall having to wait during a single round. I played several 3 hour rounds with all 4 players walking. Single rider carts should become the norm as well.

I actually quite like the single cart rule. I think it speeds up the pace of play as well. And as others have echoed, no one pulling the pins has been great in that regard as well.

We should all get golf scooters.

Please go back to the two to a cart norm!!

I get what y’all are saying and that it is more convenient for you to have your own cart. But as someone who manages a golf resort it is a disaster. There are not an unlimited number of carts. One to a cart causes many more headaches behind the scenes

I’m not in the business but we’ve seen that at our club. People waiting for carts all the time. Also, you’re essentially doubling the cart traffic on the course, which beats up the course more.

I was hoping it would lead to more walking, but it seems like once carts were available again, that was the end of walking for most people

Yes one cart per person doubles cart traffic, doubles work load on outside staff, rental fees are expensive and come whether you are busy or slow. It will be a nightmare asking players to pair up again after all of this as well. We have rented 30 additional carts getting our fleet to 104 and have run our numerous times.

Get the scooters. 2 scooters cost less than 1 cart. Pace of play quickens. It’s a win win

The scooter looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Isn’t there one where you stand up but it’s motorized?

Quarantine golf is way better. I feel everyone plays faster since you can go straight to your ball with your cart and no wanna be pros pulling the pin and lining up putts for 5 minutes.

Yes, it’s called a golf board. It’s ok.

You must sign a full liability waiver before they let you have one. Abbeville has them.
